With my goal being to find you the best and most unique coffee spots around Glasgow, I bring you the second edition of the Glasgow’s Quirky Cafés blog with Laboratorio Espresso. With a fantastic central location and an efficient team of staff, this place is brilliant for coffee on the go, or a chilled sit down brew. Offering an authentic Italian espresso bar feel, which is evident with their products available, this is another must try for you coffee lovers.

The selection of coffee was the first thing that caught my eye here, with coffee beans from all across the world. From coffees sourced in Brazil, to Denmark, there is no shortage of choice when it comes to choosing your favourite taste. They also offer a wide range of delicious pastries to pair with your chosen brew.

Laboratorio Espresso is a small coffee shop, housing a few tables indors, with outdoor seating also available. Displaying a range of posters detailing their coffees, and delicious confectionary at the counter, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

The staff not only offered a warm welcome, but were very efficient with order taking and brewing the coffee. Even during busy hours, you’ll be sure to get your coffee at a quick pace unlike a lot of other cafes in Glasgow. Sitting just one street across from Buchanan St, it is in a very accessible location for those in city centre.

Situated in the West End of Glasgow, this small spot is a perfect place to enjoy your coffee. A Brew from Abroad

I’m here to help you find the best and most unique coffee spots across Glasgow, offering a more distinctive experience than your regular chain stores. For my first post to this blog I'm starting with the  Ottoman Coffeehouse located at Charing Cross. In other stores you often feel a sense of urgency, whereas here, there was a very laid-back mood that allowed customers to feel at home. With décor and products themed off of their travels to Istanbul, there truly isn’t another place like this in Glasgow. The menu offered a range of items, with numerous products that I had never tried, or in some cases, heard of before. I decided to go for the Original Pistachio Baklava, which was amazing, paired with a latte and an almond biscuit.
